Artist Model: Lisa Jacoby

Lisa Jacoby uses reflection to show multiple view points at once. She uses mirrors to combine the the models with reality. I really like the look of her photos that's why I've decided to gain inspiration from Lisa Jacoby in my second panel. The first two are her photos.

These are using the reflection method like Lisa Jacoby, in my work.

Panel 1 and 2 + Artist Models

So.. I've been looking at some more artists models recently, and it has influenced me to change some of my photos. I've looked at Carol Golemboski, who has quite dark photos and uses 'feminine' items like household items, and the color pink. I've looked at Lisa Jacoby who uses reflection and odd cut-outs of her photos with nature and figures. I then went on to find Marie-Clair Montanari, who uses mannequins in city like themes to tell a story, she overlaps photos. I've decided to develop the use of reflection in my photos as in can show a good and bad side of feminism and being a women.

This is my panel 1 and almost a finished panel 2.

New Photos + Artist Model

I've taken some new photos using the mannequin, lace, doll and makeup. I've been looking at Carol Golemboski as an artist model because I really like the look of her dark sketchy photos, and with some of my photos already looking like that, Im trying to develop her look into my photos for my second panel. I've also been experimenting with photoshop.

New Ideas

I have filled my first panel, and Im now trying to develop the ideas for my second panel. I was fiddling with all the makeup that I have been wanting to use, and realized that there was a mannequin lying in pieces at the back of the art room... I then started to apply makeup over it and thought that it could be a strong prop that i can develop my ideas with.

Tho it looks a bit rugged, since these photos were taken, I have painted over the face to make it all white, Im thinking of doing some good side/ bad side photos, which could represent how the feminism can be looked at from both angles.. and also the use of makeup can show trashy and elegant looks. These photos are yet to be edited.

New Photos

So.. I've taken some more photos, which will hopefully cover the bottom part of my first panel. I really like that I used some pink behind the lace to make the photos more appealing and interesting. I also dangled the necklace and made it move when I took the photo so it made it out of focus.

The Rule of Thirds

Rule of thirds is really confusing me, but Samuel helped me out. In the first photo the lace hits the intersecting points.
